Job Bulletin (1/11/2022) – Chautauqua Institution – Internship & Entry-Level Opportunities in Human Resources

Chautauqua Institution is seeking spring and summer (or combined) internship candidates to support our talent culture.  I’m also recruiting for an entry-level/seasonal employment opportunity as a Human Resources Representative, which may provide resume-enhancing experience to current students or recent graduates looking to ‘break into’ this field.

 

Chautauqua Institution’s 150 Forward Strategic Plan includes a cross-cutting imperative for a comprehensive human capital management plan and workforce planning solutions to recruit, develop, and retain diverse talent who encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our long-term strategic vision and to provide an environment that positions the organization as an ‘employer of choice’ on a national stage.  The Human Resources Internship will provide a unique opportunity for a student to engage in a broad range of interactive learning opportunities with a critical focus on talent management.   This is a paid internship opportunity starting at $15.00/hour.  The Institution will also provide the student with complimentary access to most programming as part of an enriching employment and learning experience. 

 

The Human Resources Department offers internship opportunities in the spring (February-May) and/or summer (May-August) with flexibility on the date that the internship begins/concludes based on the student learner’s school schedule and internship requirements of the college or university.  Student learners who are interested in a spring internship may work either at or near full-time (37.5-hours/week) or part-time (less than 30-hours/week) hours based on personal availability.  Student learners who are interested in a summer internship must have the availability to work at or near full-time (37.5-hours/week).  I may consider alternative internship arrangements where student learners enjoy a combined spring and summer internship experience or a summer internship experience with the potential for continued part-time or project-work assignments in the fall (September-November).  

 

Generally, student learners work during the normal business hours of Human Resources, which are Monday-Friday from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.  Scheduling is flexible around pre-planned engagements for school or personal, as discussed during the interview process. We do not provide housing for internships in Human Resources.
