Lutheran of Jamestown seeks a Director of Human Resources for this leading human services organization. The Director is responsible for designing and implementing HR policies and programs, and managing all aspects of employee relations and development. The incumbent oversees and directs staff recruiting, development, employee wellness; plus, provides operational and strategic input to Lutheran’s total rewards performance management, training and (compensation and benefits) program. The Director leads the design and implementation of the strategic human resource plan, supporting achievement of organizational goals and objectives. S/he participates as a member of the senior leadership team, and acts as a resourceful strategic business partner with excellent communication and leadership skills; supports all HR needs throughout the organization as a trusted advisor and subject expert.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must possess impeccable integrity and respect for confidentiality, along with excellent communication skills, presentation skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, must have demonstrated working knowledge of strategic planning, succession planning, and budget development.

Education and Experience

Must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, or related field. A Master’s Degree or SHRM SCP or SPHR certification is preferred. Must also possess at least 10+ years’ experience in broad functional areas of Human Resources with at least 3 years as a department leader responsible for setting strategy to support business outcomes.
