Class of 2024 - Difficult Conversations

Navigating conflict is a fact of life, but how can we think about conflict positively? In this course you will learn your conflict style, strategies for improving your communication during conflict, and destructive behaviors that interfere with positive conflict management. Participants will be asked to engage in thoughtful discussions, reflective self-analysis, and conflict simulations.

 

About Your Instructor/Facilitator: Simone Sellstrom is the director of the Communication program at Jamestown Community College. In this role she teaches a variety of communication and media courses including Interpersonal Communication, a course focused on communication issues that frequently occur in relationships. Originally from Oklahoma, she graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Masters in Communication and a concentration in Strategic Communication.
